Court Administrator Wanted
Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.
We are now looking for two or more court administrators.
The Role
As a court administrator with us, you will be part of a team with other administrators and a team leader, working together to create an efficient and legally secure preparation of our cases and matters. More specifically, the job involves registering and preparing cases and matters together with other court administrators. You ensure that the court's pre- and post-work in various cases and matters is carried out impartially and effectively. Sometimes you handle several different cases and matters simultaneously, and many cases you prepare independently up to the hearing. You also issue judgments and decisions, monitor deadlines, and plan trial days. You work in a group with your colleagues, but the tasks are performed independently and with personal responsibility. In addition to your fellow administrators, you collaborate with judges, other lawyers, and other staff at the district court. A day in court is varied and rich in content, and you have a lot of contact with colleagues, the public, and the parties in the case as well as lawyers, interpreters, witnesses, and others.
We are looking for someone who
- has a completed high school education with a diploma/certificate or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- has previous work experience in administration and service that the employer considers relevant for the position
- has very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form
- has knowledge and an interest in IT and digitalization.
It is an advantage if you have worked or are currently working with the handling of cases or matters within a court or another authority. It is also an advantage if you have completed a YH education as a paralegal or other post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant.
You have a strong sense of service, quality, and approachability, creating good relationships with your colleagues and contributing your expertise to the group's collective work. To thrive with us, you need to manage various tasks, people, and situations, as well as have the ability to analyze and solve problems. Working in a structured manner and having a professional approach is a given for you. During periods of high workload, you remain calm, and it is especially important that you have the ability to prioritize your work and focus on the right things. You also enjoy quickly switching between different tasks.
To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means standing up for democratic values and the governmental values that guide the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
